Fair Fundraising

We are delighted to announce that the fair raised just over $200,000. This money will go towards buying new playground equipment, umbrellas and benches as well as Chinese readers and other mother-tongue books. Thank you once again to everyone who helped make the fair such a big success.

Events in December & January

6 December – Staff Appreciation Lunch

Emma Linnitt is coordinating the Staff Appreciation lunch again this year, thank you Emma! The staff work hard all year for our children and this is an opportunity to say thank you to them. Thanks to those who have already offered to bring in a dish. We still need more food for the lunch so please get in touch with the PTA office if you can bring something in. This is an easy way to get involved, even if you work full-time. Salads, quiches, lasagne/baked pasta, curry, roasted meats and fish are always popular, as are cheese, cakes and desserts.

6 December, 6.30pm Christmas Carol Concert

The concert will take place in the school playground at 6:30pm followed by mulled wine for the parents and hot chocolate for the children. This is a wonderful start to the holiday season.

20 January, 2017- Year 3 & 4 Social, 6 – 7:30pm

Operation Santa Claus

The PTA has pledged to raise $5000 for Operation Santa Claus again this year. This annual fundraiser supports the needy in Hong Kong and Mainland China. We will be collecting at the Christmas Carol Concert.

The Year 6 House Captains will have a table set-up in the playground every morning at 8am from Monday 28 November through to 7 December with collection boxes, so please bring in some money to help this great cause.

Lost Property

There is a lot of lost property in the white boxes by the PTA office. At the last count, there were 34 water bottles, about 40 snack boxes, and numerous hats and other items (many unnamed). If your child loses something, please ask them to check in the white boxes immediately and if they cannot find their item, to return in the following days. It is very important to double check everything that comes to school is clearly labelled. Labels do fall off so please make sure that they are still in place and show your child where their name is on their property.

Please review all items of clothing, lunch boxes, snack boxes and water bottles at the end of term and renew the labels before returning to school in January.  If you purchase second hand uniform, make sure the name of the previous owner is removed.  Properly labelled items are sorted and returned to the classes.  If we cannot identify the owner, they will eventually get recycled.

We have a few boxes of secondhand books (adult fiction and non-fiction) remaining from the fair that we would like to donate to a good cause. If anyone is able to help with this please get in touch with the PTA office.

If anyone has a spare hour and would like to help, please do pop in to the PTA office. We would welcome some help with lost property and second hand uniform.

PTA & Uniform Shop Opening Hours

The PTA office is open every day from 8:00am – 2:45pm and the uniform shop will open on Mondays from 8am – 4pm. Parents are always welcome in the PTA Office, we have stationery items and second hand uniform for sale and tea and coffee, so please pop in anytime you are in school.
