PTA News

The first Social of the year with a Punk Funk Disco theme will be for the Year 5 and Year 6 students later today! We are expecting an attendance of 150 children. The children will be served pizza, and following the launch of the healthy eating policy, fruit and veggie sticks will be served. Children are asked to bring their own water bottles to use and refill at the water station to be more environmentally friendly. Please ensure there is an adult to pick up your child at 7.45pm.

Lai See

The PTA will be giving Lai see to the caretaking and cleaning staff ahead of the New Year holiday, to show the school’s appreciation of their hard work.

Be Internet Awesome

Last week we launched Clearwater Bay School’s “Be Internet Awesome” programme at the parent information session. Developed in part by Google, ‘Be Internet Awesome’ is a programme which teaches children to be smart, alert, strong, kind and brave when using technology. You can find out more details on the technology tab of cwbs.edu.hk.

We think that it is important for home and school to have a shared language for internet safety, so today or early next week, students will sign and bring home a ‘Be Internet Awesome’ pledge/mini poster.

Please talk about this with your children and display it somewhere where everyone can see!
Please contact matt.hayes@cwbs.edu.hk for more details.

Lost Property

The Lost property boxes are overflowing and if any parents can volunteer an hour or two of time it would be good to sort through it and return some of the named items.  Please talk to your children about taking care of their belongings and ask them to look in the lost property boxes if they lose something.  You can also help by ensuring all items that are brought to school are clearly labelled with the child’s name and current class.  We often find children wearing hats that don’t belong to them!  Show your child the labels on their clothing so that they know where to look.  Explain to your children that they should not borrow from the lost property boxes as this causes problems for the owner when they come to look for their items.

PTA & Uniform Shop Opening Hours
