Here are some very happy students trying out the imagination playground sets the PTA purchased for the school this year. They were paid for by proceeds of this year’s ‘Think Green’ CWBS School Fair. The PTA would like to say thank you to all families for your generous support of the School Fair and we hope you are as pleased as us to see the happiness it has created in the playground. We would like to ask you to send in your suggestions for this year’s School Fair theme. The School Council has already announced that Friends
of the Earth, World Wildlife Fund HK, and Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Gardens will be the charities of which one will receive 5% of the Fair’s proceeds. The PTA will host a voting system for the students to select
which of the three charities will receive the donation.. Please contact PTA team directly if you would like to run a game, stall, provide entertainment or activities at the 2019 School Fair. It will be in the first week of November as usual.
May will be a busy month for the PTA providing fun and feasting for the students of CWBS. We will be hosting two socials, a uniform sale, and a Sausage Sizzle. Please keep up to date with registering your children for events using the google forms that will be sent out on newsletters, social media, ( follow us on CWBS PTA on Facebook,) and emails via the school office to make sure your child does not miss out. If you are opting to pay by cash or cheque for any events, please make sure you label payments clearly with names and event titles, and not just send in money unlabelled.
The PTA would like to say a big thank you to the parents and guardians for their ongoing donations of books and uniform, and to Jolie Chiu and Iris Kloth who recently donated toys.

On Friday the 24th May we will cook up a barbecue lunch for the students. The PTA acknowledge and thank the parents that volunteered at the last Sizzle event for their feedback, and contingency plans are set up to run the event smoothly. If anyone is willing be lead volunteer for this event please contact the PTA directly. Please be aware there is no hot lunch provision on this day so you will need to send your children in with a packed lunch from home if they do not want a sizzle
lunch. Please register your order on the following google form, and send in payment clearly labelled by Monday May 20th.
Recycling and Lost Property
There has been a massive reduction in the amount of lost property accumulated outside the PTA Office. Thank you if you have taken the time to retrieve your children’s belongings. Thanks to to the teachers and students who have started helping out with this task.
Some students are regularly taking items that do not belong to them, especially hats, in order to be able to have outdoor play at break and lunch times. Please tell your child that this is unacceptable, and they must be responsible for their own uniform, and not take other students property.
