Yesterday, the PTA Committee said a heartfelt thank you and farewell to our principal Chris. We wish him good luck for his next chapter. We are extremely grateful that Chris has always made the PTA an integral part of the CWBS community. We are also very grateful to parents and students for acting fast and creating so many illustrations, well wishes, and delicious recipes that were bound into a book by our resources manager Bonnie. Hollie Arnulphy, the chair of the PTA Committee presented both the student book, and an iconic Hong Kong photo by Laurence Lai to Chris last night at a celebration hosted by the PTA. In the words of Cyrus Fu from Year 6 in his dedication to Chris, ‘As one chapter ends, another begins, so grasp the exhilaration that comes in embracing the joy in life.We will miss you dearly but and hope that you can relish a whole new kind of life ahead, full of experiences just waiting to happen’.
We would like to thank all parents and students for their contributions so far for teacher gifts. It is important we work together to uphold this tradition of thanks. If you would like to contribute to the gift for your child’s teacher and EA, please get in touch with your class contact, or we can identify that person for you.
We are really disappointed that the PTA cannot organise and run the usual events for the year six students who will graduate soon. The PTA has worked with the principal to adapt to the current situation, and the PTA will serve a freshly baked pizza lunch and refreshments on June 24th for the celebrations, and the graduate t-shirts have been delivered to the school today. Our in house technical wizard Mr Blundell is producing photography for the graduates too.
