If you would like to be a class contact for your child’s class please contact the PTA. We are in urgent need of contacts for a large number of classes. We require two parent contacts per class, to assist the PTA with keeping parents informed about events and recruit parent volunteers.. Talk to PTA staff if you would like to find out more about the role. We will be holding a Class Contacts’ Coffee Morning on 28th August in the multipurpose room at 8.30am.
Everyone is welcome. During this meeting, you will have a chance to discuss your class task for the school fair and have some input to events planned for the year.
2019 Fair – Amazing Rainforest
We will assign roles for the fair at the class contacts’ meeting on 28th August so if you’re keen to have some input on what your class will be doing, please attend the meeting! The next fair meeting will be on 12th September.
If any student groups would like to perform, e.g. dancers, bands, theatre groups, gymnasts, musicians, etc. please send an email to email@example.com. We have a limited number of performance slots and they get booked up very quickly.
CWBS parents and staff are invited to apply for a vendor table at the fair. Vendor tables are extremely popular so please email the PTA to register your interest and you will be sent an application form in due course.
Please attend this important meeting so we can elect a new PTA committee for the year. Without a committee we cannot function.
The CWBS PTA is currently a limited company and the PTA committee is considering changing its status to an Association. We would like to vote on this at the AGM and would really value parents’ input. Day to day running of the PTA would remain unaffected. Our main reasons to consider this move are to save money and time. Please get in touch with the PTA office if you have any thoughts on this, or experience in this area.
Notice is hereby given that the Clearwater Bay School Parent Teacher Association Limited Annual General Meeting (AGM) is called for Monday 16th September 2019 at 6:30pm in the school hall. All Parents and Teachers are invited to attend this open meeting of the PTA, where the Committee will give a brief account of activities over the last year, plans for this year and the parent representatives will be elected to the Executive Committee. We need a quorum for the vote to be valid so please attend if you can. Refreshments will be served.
Nominations must be made on the Nomination Form (see link below) which is also available from the PTA Office and should be lodged with the PTA administrators at the PTA Office by 2:30pm on Monday 9th September, 2019. Nomination forms should be lodged in person during PTA office hours, by mail or by email to be received by this time and date. Acknowledgement of nominations will be sent from the PTA by email.
If more than one nomination is received for the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Honorary Treasurer or if more than 13 nominations are received for the position of Parent Member, then a vote will be conducted at the meeting. If this occurs, only PTA members are eligible to vote and only one vote is permitted per family for each position. Any position for which a nomination has not been received prior to the meeting, may also be filled from the floor at the AGM.

The Sausage Sizzle is coming up on Friday the 6th of September. If your child would like a hotdog or veggie burger lunch for your child on this day please complete the following google registration form.
Send in the payment as soon as possible, in a clearly labelled envelope. The deadline for registering is Tuesday 3rd of September. We need volunteers so please add your details to the google form if you can help.
Please note that there will be no hot lunches provided in school this day.If you do not wish for your child to take part, ensure you have sent them in with a packed lunch.
PTA Events in August & September
28 August, 8:30-9:30am – Class Contacts meeting, multipurpose room level 1
6 September – Sausage Sizzle Lunch, the registration form will be sent by email on 23 August.
12 September, 7:30-8:30pm – Fair preparation meeting, venue to be confirmed
9 September – Deadline for nominations for PTA Committee, to be submitted to PTA office no later than 2:30pm.
16 September, 6:30pm – PTA Annual General Meeting, all parents welcome.
20 September, 6:30-7:45pm – Family Bingo, a fun evening for parents and students of CWBS (sorry, no siblings who aren’t CWBS students). The registration form will be sent by email on 11 September.
We stock stationery items for Years 4 – 6, recorders, headphones (volume limited, so safer for young ears), lined white boards, hair ties, tennis balls, and book bags. Our stationery is very reasonably priced (the same or cheaper than local shops) and we have the green and pink biros required in Years 5 & 6, which are hard to find elsewhere. We now also stock A5 recycled paper note books required in Year 4.
Please purchase from the PTA as all profits go back to the school. In the past, the PTA, with the help of parents, has raised money for books, playground and sports equipment, the climbing wall and garden.
