PTA Newsletter Friday 10th of May 2019

Today the PTA and a brilliant team of parent volunteers cooked up a sizzle lunch for well over six hundred students. May thanks to Rebecca O’Brien for her calm and steady leadership of the volunteers.

The PTA will be hosting a ballot from next week.  The students can choose from three charities recommended by student council to receive proceeds from this year’s school fair. There will be ballot boxes positioned outside the PTA office where children can place a vote for Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden, World Wildlife Fund HK, and Friends of the Earth.

We need parents to start sharing their ideas and support for the school fair now, so we can ensure we the event is as successful as it can be. If you have ideas for a theme, entertainment, would like to run a stall or game, please get in touch with the PTA directly.

The recent uniform flash sale was successful and raised nearly $1000. We will run similar events on Fridays before the end of term.

The recent social was a great success and the students really enjoyed their pizza supper and ‘Motion Madness’ science show by Active Kids Hong Kong. Many thanks to Kerensa Heywood for leading the parent volunteer team.

If you would like to take up chairmanship of the PTA Committee in the new academic year, please get in touch. It is a great way be involved with the school and help steer how we invest the funds raised back into the school to support the learning and enjoyment of the students.

There will be a Year One Social next Friday 31st May. The children will enjoy a freshly baked pizza supper followed by a show in the hall by Big Ben the Funny Man. Make sure you have paid and signed up on the following link.

Registration for socials is essential as you give parental consent for your child to attend.
