CWBS School Fair 2019

‘Amazing Rainforest’

Saturday 2nd November, 12 – 4pm

Thank you to all the students who sent in their creations for decorating the fair – it is going to look amazing! Please keep bringing in more.

If you have time on Friday 1st November between 4-8pm, please help out with setting up the fair.  We always need people to hang decorations, set up the tables and tents for the vendor booths and take items for sale to the White Elephant and Book Shops.  You don’t need to come for the full four hours, any time you can spare will be appreciated!

There is still time to order show tickets (early bird discount ends on the 29/10) and pay in advance for entry to the fair.  Just click here to register:

Alfie No Name will present his high energy, interactive clown shows, the first at 1:30pm, the second at 3pm.  They are suitable for all ages and each show lasts 40 minutes.

All the usual favourites will be there: Teachers’ BBQ, Kids’ Café, Book Shop, Silent Auction, White Elephant, Entertainers, Face painting, Art Jam, Cupcake & Cookie Decorating, Bouncy castle, Arts & Crafts BY ACTIVITYBOX and fantastic games in the school carpark area. The free games  can be played as many times as your child wants.

PLEASE HELP US WITH DONATIONS OF:

Game prizes—small items that will appeal to children of all ages, e.g. little action figures, bouncy balls, Chupa Chups lollies, etc.

White Elephant—second hand goods in saleable condition.  Please clearly label for White Elephant.

Book Shop-children’s books and adult fiction only please.

Class Tasks

Class contacts will be finalising their volunteer schedules today.  Please check in with your class contacts and make sure you know what time you are helping out.

Donated Items

Donations for the fair can be dropped off at the PTA office during school hours.  Label items clearly so we know what to do with them. There will be labelled boxes outside the PTA office from 14th October for you to sort your white elephant goods.  If you are unable to put them in the boxes, please make sure they are bagged, labelled ‘white elephant’ and put to one side so it is obvious that the goods need to be sorted out.

Food & Drink

This year the bar will be run by Momentai who have kindly arranged the liquor licence. There will be a selection of wine, prosecco and craft beers with a bar snack of pulled-pork buns with coleslaw.

The Kids’ Cafe will be in its usual spot inside the Year 1 shared area, serving savouries and cakes.  We can’t accept food containing nuts, or any food requiring refrigeration or heating. Whole cakes and pies are welcome, as well as individual portions.  The servers need to know ingredients so please help them by labelling your donations.

The Juice Bar serving soft drinks only will be on the playground near the under cover area, just across from the Teachers’ Barbecue.  Enjoy a hotdog, burger or veggie burger served by one of your teachers! And if you can donate a tray of cooked onions for the barbecue, let the PTA know.

The Silent Auction Goes Live Today!

There are some fantastic items up for grabs and you can start bidding any time.  Thanks to all our donors for supporting our fundraising efforts. The full list of items can be viewed at www.32auctions.com/cwbs2019.
