Save Our Seas Fair

We are only nine days away from our most anticipated and exciting event of the year, our Save Our Seas (SOS) Fair on 4th November from 1-5pm. Our fair coordinator, Tara Delaney and all the Class Contacts are endeavouring to ensure that our fair will be a fun-filled day with many games and stalls for everyone. We encourage all our parents to support their class by volunteering a bit of your time for the task allocated either before or on the day itself. THE SCHOOL NEEDS YOU to take part in which ever way you can to make it a successful one.

  • We encourage everyone to come in nautical or sea themed fancy dress.
  • Please note that there will be FREE PIZZA for the 2 classes, one with the highest money raised and one with the most number of volunteers!

The entrance fee is $50 per person. Prize Cards are supplied at the gate. Token books will be available for sale at the PTA table. Children can earn stamps on their Prize Cards to win prizes. There will be games designed by the class parents, arts and craft, hair-spray, face painting and tattoos, Art Jam, cookie decorating, a bouncy castle and an entertainment stage. Food and drink will include  Menzie’s Curries, The Kids Café, The Teachers’ BBQ, Soft Drinks Stall and The Bar, who will be selling pulled pork buns, so come hungry and thirsty. This year we will have plenty of fantastic shopping opportunities with the White Elephant, and New Goods stall with lots of good quality second hand goods, the Book Shop, commercial vendors and do remember to bring your cheque book for the Silent Auction payments.

Please let the PTA know if you can donate the items listed below by Thursday, 2nd November.

Cookie Decorations- plain cookies, plain cupcakes and any decorations for those. This is for the Cookie Decorating Stall which is entirely separate from the Kids Café

BBQ Stall – Trays of fried onions

Arts and Crafts – Egg cartons

Photo Booth – Anything with a nautical theme costumes, decors – mermaids, pirates, fishes etc, goggles, snorkels, masks and wigs

Small Prizes – we need things like stationery, lollies, candy, small toys

Other donations you can give:

Baked Items –Bake or make something and bring it along on Saturday morning. Please let us know in advance what you will prepare by email or by filling in the form that was sent home.

White Elephant – second hand household items, clothing, etc. in saleable condition. It can be dropped off at the PTA until Friday 3rd of November. We need recycled shopping bags to contain goods bought.

Book Stall – we need books, CDs and DVDs

We need Prize Table Volunteers – offer 30 minutes of your time to give prizes to the children.

PTA Plastic Police Officer Sarah would like you all to consider bringing you and your children their own drinking cup (not glass) and your own shopping bags to the Fair. This will help reduce the amount of waste plastic we produce at the event. This one small act of mindful consumption will help Save Our Seas.

Great news – as you can see, our fantastic climbing frame is near completion but we need to raise funds through our fair for it’s payment!
